Journal of Sustainable Development in Social and Environmental Sciences (JSDSES) is a biannual peer-reviewed open-access journal, published by the Faculty of Arts, Port Said University with print ISSN (2812-6335) and online ISSN (2812-6343).

The journal is specialized in publishing foreign-language articles, provided that such articles are in the field of social and environmental studies, and within the topics of interest to the journal in the scope of the dimensions of sustainable development. The main subjects of the journal are classified based on the United Nations classification of the Five Pillars (5Ps) of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as follows:

  • Peace and Justice.
  • Prosperity (Clean Energy, Economic Growth, Innovation, Reduced Inequalities, and Sustainable Cities).
  • People (No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health, Quality Education, and Gender Quality).
  • Planet (Clean Water, Responsible Consumption, Climate Action, Life below Water, and Life on Land).
  • Partnership.

Plagiarism Policy:

The journal has a strict policy against plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using professional plagiarism-checking software. Submitted manuscripts with an unacceptable similarity index resulting from plagiarism are rejected immediately.

Review Policy:

Manuscripts submitted for publication in the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process, in which reviewers cannot know the identities of authors and authors cannot find out the identities of reviewers during the review process. The journal treats the names of the reviewers, their reports, and the names of the authors and their information with strict confidentiality.

Copyright Policy:

The journal is an open access journal that permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose under the following conditions:

The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright, and to retain publishing rights without any restrictions. 

Publication Ethics:

It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that the manuscript has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere in any format and that there are no ethical concerns regarding the contents or the method of data collection, as the journal follows the policy of COPE.
